10:00 am - 12:00pm: Workshop - Active Listening for Success, led by Rachael Lieck Bryce - 3 NCPT CEC's available.

Your new client has just walked in and you have a shit storm in front of you. How do you weed through the unimportant, while ensuring your client feels like every grain of every morsel you’ve carefully listened to and taken into consideration, but you know what you need to focus on and how to proceed. In this 2-hour workshop you will learn skills to truly listen and get through successful sessions with your clients again and again. Being able to focus, have patience and being thoughtful are all skills that need to be honed and practiced daily.

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: LUNCH provided by Healthyish in a Hurry, with time for shopping, questions and visiting.

1:30 pm - 3:00 pm: Introducing the Feldenkrais Method with Debra Wanner - 3 NCPT CEC's available.
Students are verbally guided though novel, gentle movement variations using gravity, breath, and the imagination. The lessons are slow-paced, fostering self-discovery, ease, articulation, and coordination. They are helpful for most everyone including artists, athletes, and those recovering from injury or chronic pain, serving as a bridge to doing more and as a complement to other mind/body practices. Students often discover a new ability or sensation that they can continue to learn and grow from. Wear comfortable clothing.

3:15 pm - 4:45 pm: Return Your Equipment Back to Life. Pilates Equipment Maintenance with Suzanne Hazelton - 3 NCPT CEC’s available.

In this workshop we’ll explore how to maintain your existing equipment and what to look for when purchasing new or used equipment. The apparatus we will focus on are Reformers, Cadillacs, Wall towers/Springboards, and Chairs.
The apparatus is the life blood of the studio! Your Pilates equipment is an investment and like a vehicle or house it needs regular maintenance to keep it in top shape. If not used or maintained properly, it can cause injuries to you and your clients. When a piece of equipment is down because something is broken that is lost revenue! Having a good relationship with your equipment will keep you going. Your clients will be happy and so will you!

We will be using the equipment that is in the specific studio however we'll leave time for questions. If you have questions about your own equipment, let's talk about it!

When practiced in their full expression, Pilates exercises offer us a hearty challenge. Pre-Pilates exercises are effective tools we can offer our clients to navigate these challenges.

Imagine you have a client struggling with a specific exercise: Pre-Pilates exercises allow you to break down the component parts of the exercise & build up the skills needed for them to progress.

Think of a new client walking into your studio with a list of concerns: These foundational movements can be used diagnostically to better understand the resources & challenges your client brings to the work and to address what you find.

Picture your group class moving through a fun, creative warm up that prepares them mentally and physically for the choreography to come: Pre-Pilates exercises invite your students to learn the language of Pilates experientially within a flow

With curiosity, a touch of creative magic, and the use of props, we will explore practical and potent foundational exercises and how you can masterfully employ them to unlock the potential in your clients.

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm: Break for Lunch provided by Healthyish in a Hurry, with time for shopping, questions and visiting.

Students will learn safe and effective exercises and variations for all levels and abilities, and develop skills to incorporate the Infinity Footbar work effectively into private/duo sessions as well as group classes. Discussion includes choreography and variations using the Infinity Footbar with all proper modifications and variations. This workshop adds huge components of upper body all while supporting the lower back, working on pelvic stability and also giving your core a huge challenge while not having to lift the head, neck, and shoulders.

In order for teachers to be successful, we need to have clients. In order for us to get and keep clients we need to be productive. There are several things that you can do to retain your customers and be the "fitness professional", develop strategies and tactics that keep everyone coming back for more.

This workshop is to help fitness teachers and studio owners to make everything but the exercises easy as can be. We all teach movement because we love to teach and we love to move. What happens before and after your sessions? What happens when clients enter the studio and then never come back? What happens when clients are upset? What happens when you don't like your income? This workshop takes you through anything but the exercises to make sure you are a Fitness Pro before, during and after your sessions for years to come!

**Brunch will be provided by Heallthyish in a Hurry with coffee by Citiot.
